What you see is NOT
necessarily what you get!

When buying a new home in Houston, what you see
isn't necessarily what you get. When you go into a model home where
the builder or developer has to build your home, remember that these
"model" homes are often loaded with options and upgrades. Buyers
don't always understand that all of these things aren't automatically
included in the price of their home. Also, using a builder's
contract means you are bargaining on "their terms." Builders'
contracts are often heavily loaded in their favor. Most builder
contracts say that the builder has the right to substitute materials.
Also, most builder contracts have a provision that allows for late
delivery, sometimes they don't even guarantee a delivery date at all! You have no leverage if you divulge information and
try to negotiate with the sales rep or builder yourself.
You should not register at any sales model for new homes or lots. By doing so, you lose your right to be represented by your
buyer's agent at The Buyer Agents Team of
Coldwell Banker United.
We shop from
dozens of Houston builders to help you find the best quality construction, at the best price
possible, then let you make the choice. Prices of new home construction can vary
greatly from builder to builder. It pays to shop when building a new home, even more
so than when looking at already built homes.
Complete our brief questionnaire, and we will send you our Houston
relocation package, or any other information about Houston real estate that you are
seeking.
